Survey on the sense of security of people perceived as migrants and people with a migration background in Braunschweig
Security is fundamental to a healthy and happy life. Everyone wants to feel safe—in everyday life, at work, in educational institutions, during leisure time, and in public spaces.
This survey targets people perceived as migrants as well as individuals with a migration background. We would like to know how safe or unsafe they feel in Braunschweig and whether they have already encountered discrimination or racism – for example, because of their appearance, language, religion, or origin.
Migration background means that you or your parents were born abroad and have moved to Germany – regardless of nationality.
We want to use the results to improve coexistence in the city through appropriate (security) measures.
Your participation is voluntary and your answers are anonymous. This means that no one will know what you have answered. It takes about five to ten minutes to answer the questions.
The survey was created by the “Integration, Diversity, and Democracy” department in the Sozialreferat of the City of Braunschweig.
Take part from August 22 to March 31, 2025!
